In this Feature Pitch we want to show the possibilities to track the checkin numbers of Facebook places and locations. Checkins are definitely a popular Facebook feature and are often used to show to friends, family, subscribers and others where you are. Of course, many people mainly checkin at famous landmarks and buildings to proudly show that they were there, but especially in the context of Facebook Offers or other apps and services that access these functionalities, checkins are becoming increasingly important and are worth to be tracked. For example, you can easily see how your local business competes with stores and businesses around you.
How To Track Facebook Places
First it is important to know, that checkins are a sub-set of were here and doesn’t include tagged people. With AllFacebook Stats you can easily manage large amounts of Facebook places and track and compare the number of checkins.
To access the places and checkin metrics just click on the link in the left sidebar of our tool. In the new tab you can then see the total amount of checkins of a specific group and the change of checkins by a choosen time interval. Adding Facebook places and grouping them works the same way like you add normal Facebook pages. Of course, you should know that you can only get checkin metrics if the Facebook page has added an address to become a Facebook place.

As you can see, the Hartsfield – Jackson Atlanta International Airport has the most checkins so far. So, indeed an interesting fact that airports seem to be a nice trigger for people to checkin.
What about the daily change of checkins?
Disneyland always gained the most checkins on Saturdays, of course, not that surprising.
